Content Management System Can't Post

I've been digging the web since a while for a good CMS.
There are blogs... Nope.
There are 10.000 dollars CMS... Nope.
There are simple news scripts that pretends to be called CMS... Nope.
There are CMS that seems to be ok but they lack of the flexibility I need...

Crazy

I know what you're saying, and I think I agree. Sort of. I happen to like MovableType a lot as a personal CMS (PCMS?), and actually think blogging is the greatest thing that has happened on the internet for years. For small and even medium-sized CMS-systems, blogging technologies are excellent and adequate, and should be used much more, such as TrackBack.

I guess it all depends on what your needs are.

I feel your pain.

I have heard of organizations building portal and intranets using movable type or phpNuke.

I think the real issue is that there aren't any really good CMSs for the average organization. Blogs are good for individuals and very small organizations and there are very powerful (and expensive) solutions for large businesses but there is a niche for a good, inexpensive CMS for the medium-sized organization.

I, for one, have thought about developing a CMS framework that would take care of the backend functions like user management, database interaction and publishing - and would let the user customize the front-end to their specific needs. I have been so busy building custom solutions that I haven't had time to work on that idea much though.
