Transformational Government

http://www.cio.gov.uk/transformational_government/index.asp

Twenty First Century Government is enabled by technology - policy is inspired by it, business change is delivered by it, customer and corporate services are dependent on it, and democratic engagement is exploring it. The UK Prime Minister commissioned 'Transformational Government - Enabled by Technology' to seize the opportunity provided by IT to transform the business of government. The CIO Council has developed this strategy and will be taking it forward to ensure that the work to transform public services harnesses technology to best advantage and best value for the citizen, businesses, taxpayers and for the front-line worker.
