Abstract forest. The site is located in Taoyuan Village, which is adjacent to OCT and Tanglang Mountain. It is between Nanshan District and Futian District. Because of the mountain, she has the unique temperament of the coexistence of secularism and escape. Just as the sunlight through the branches spreads over the face, comfortable and relaxed but not aggressive. So we defined the “abstract forest” motif by trying to use the “forest” to reconstruct a “peach blossom garden” that grows naturally in the community. To reduce the burden of decoration on the environment and make the store look like it grew up here. After a second renovation, we installed the old recycled wood squares, discarded marbles, and door and window tracks in the space. Try to reduce the additional material pollution caused by the decoration of the new store, and retain the imprint of time of old items.
Wood square rebuilt. Keep the original state of the wooden squares as much as possible when deodorizing and polishing. They feature the rough texture, worn numerals, natural cracks and imperfect time imprints unreservedly in front of customers. The wooden squares are placed in staggered rows in the most appropriate position. The tone of the “forest” is set. They can be set up as a table, recessed into stainless steel plates as a display, or split and recessed with wires and charging sockets. The collision of the primitive and the modern makes old things more interesting.
Retro terrazzo. Terrazzo craftsmanship was born in Venice in the 16th century. The masons brought home the remains of marble from the decoration of the mansions and inlaid them in the courtyard at will. After a simple treatment, they got unexpected results. We have chosen an ancient craft – handmade terrazzo. We have recycled the large aged green marble from the stone factory. The designer and part A broke it on the site in freefall or by smashing it with a hand hammer. It cracked into different shapes naturally and randomly. Just as the dense branches and leaves of the forest intertwine with the warmth of the sun to create a mottled image, to create a courtyard with “shade and light”.
Find an aged LED. When we wanted to reminisce about each of the old signs in the park, we found that due to the rapid development of electronic products, the oldest 8-ball LED had almost disappeared. The relentless research of Part A has allowed us to redevelop with old antiques. We have integrated digital installations in the “past” futuristic sense in cement and wood construction. It is also our reflection on nature and the current environment.
Doors and windows. The finished aluminum alloy profiles are used for facade decoration and ceiling track lights. We completed the rebuilding of materials relatively inexpensively and unified them.
The bar. The scullery contacted the front bar through the food outlet to complete the efficient delivery of meals. This also reserved more possibilities for future product expansion.
