Apple Mac Studio and Studio Display have been launched in India! Along with the new iPhone SE and iPad Air M1, Apple also announced the Mac Studio and Studio Display in India. These appear as the successor to the Mac Pro desktop configuration and can be equipped with two of Apple’s most powerful chips – M1 Max and M1 Ultra. Apple is also bringing its Studio Display to India along with an updated range of accessories for these devices.

On the other hand, the Studio Display is available at a price of Rs. 159,900. The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and numeric keypad costs Rs. 19,500 while the Magic Trackpad costs Rs. 14,500. The Magic Mouse costs Rs. 9 500 and is also available in new silver and black color options.

Mac Studio gains power!

The Mac Studio is inspired by the Mac Mini for its design. “Built from a single aluminum extrusion with a square footprint of just 7.7 inches and a height of just 3.7 inches, Mac Studio takes up very little space and fits perfectly under most screens” , explains Apple.

The biggest highlight here is the M1 Ultra chip, which Apple claims is much faster than the Intel processors powering the Mac Pro and 27-inch iMac. The M1 Ultra has up to 3.8 times faster processor performance than the Intel-based 27-inch iMac with a 10-core processor. It also has up to 90% faster CPU performance than Mac Pro with 16-core Xeon processor, up to 60% faster CPU performance than 28-core Mac Pro, up to 4.5 times faster graphics performance than the 27-inch iMac, and more up to 80% faster than the fastest Mac graphics card available today. It’s also up to 12x faster than the 27-inch iMac and up to 5.6x faster than the 28-core Mac Pro when transcoding video.

Apple claims the Mac Studio with M1 Ultra can play 18 streams of 8K ProRes 422 video, which is still unmatched by any other computer in the world. Mac Studio gets up to 64 GB of unified memory on systems with M1 Max and up to 128 GB of unified memory on systems with M1 Ultra. Mac Studio’s SSD delivers up to 7.4GB/s performance and up to 8TB capacity.

Mac Studio includes four Thunderbolt 4 ports for high-performance displays and devices, a 10GB Ethernet port, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and a pro audio jack for high-impedance headphones or powered external speakers . For wireless connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. There are two USB-C ports, which on M1 Max support 10Gb/s USB 3, and on M1 Ultra supports 40Gb/s Thunderbolt 4. There’s also an SD card slot on the front .

Studio Display for Mac Studio

The Studio Display was designed for Mac products. It has a massive 27-inch Retina 5K display with 600 nits of brightness, a wide P3 color gamut, and support for over a billion colors. The monitor receives a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with center stage and a six-speaker high-fidelity audio system with spatial audio.
