Bites Studio relaunches DIRECTOR’y, a pioneering hub shaping the future of the table

Bites, a tabletop production studio, today announces the relaunch of its Director’y tabletop hub, which is evolving into a space for mutual dialogue, inspiration and education, with the aim of bringing the industry to new heights.

Bites’ independent initiative was originally designed to promote top table talent and their work, providing a simple tool for agencies and production houses to seek inspiration, referrals and new contacts. The latest update, however, goes beyond those initial features.

The improved site features a number of advanced features, including an updated search mechanism and a layout designed with user experience in mind, as well as an all-new Insight section, full of reading material about the world of food turning, visual arts, tabletop technology and more. This in particular should be a revolutionary development in the sector, marking the start of a transparent discussion about the future among industry professionals that will shape the standards of their work. Established for the benefit of the community, it will provide a forum in which members can both inspire and be inspired, allowing them to showcase their voice in addition to their work.

To ensure that key topics are discussed holistically on the platform, an Advisory Board has also been created, led by various professionals representing different parts of the industry. Besides Jakub Laskus, Founder and CEO of Bites, the Board of Directors is made up of global pioneers Antonella Scoliero (co-founder, CEO and EP at 360FX), Wael Said (head of audiovisual production for Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis ME, One Team Stellantis, Studio M and E&), Scott Pugnetti (Head of Business Directors at Aylene Gardiner Agency and Equals Management), Katarzyna Zyzało-Moczydłowska (Freelance Business Consultant), Etienne Proulx (Director and Cinematographer) and Robert Payton (director and cinematographer).

Expanding the site’s reach, food stylists were also invited into the hub to display their portfolios, recognizing them as a vital part of the industry.

Agnieszka Celej, Art Director and Editor-in-Chief of Director’y, comments, “Everything in Director’y, from layout to functionality, has been shaped to make creators and their work shine. We hope these developments will encourage our community to speak up, be seen and heard, and start conversations about creativity, workflow, production processes and more. After all, who knows the industry better than the people who work there? »

She adds, “It took many hours of hard work to develop this hub, but we believe it was worth it to deliver a tool that can truly take the industry to the next level. We’re all very excited about this upcoming chapter and hope it excites others too!”
