Dr Disrespect has announced the launch of a new games studio, representing a joint effort between Disrespect itself, as well as the former Halo 5 and Call of Duty Members of the team.

Called Midnight Society, Dr Disrespect is keen to build up the hype for the studio. He is described as a “killer team of veteran AAA talent who lives, breathes and sleeps in the realm of PvP multiplayer.”

The studio’s website explains that “we’re turning the tables on the traditional video game development model and embracing the ‘Day Zero community.’ ” What does that mean ? Midnight Society describes it as ensuring that players are part of development from the “earliest start”.

“It could be testing reload times and recoil patterns in a shooting range or going for the very first PVP sessions,” which sounds a lot like beta test products before they launch.

On top of that, the studio will focus on “including communities and influencers much earlier in the development process” than other developers.

The team has so far consisted of Dr Disrespect, former Call of Duty creative strategist Robert Bowling and Halo 5 multiplayer designer, Quinn Delhoyo. No details have yet been released on what the studio is working on. Disrespect himself already has credits on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Advanced war due to his stint at Sledgehammer Games as a community manager and designer.

Currently, the studio is recruiting for many positions. These include game engineer roles, technical game direction tasks, and community management roles.

In the past, Dr Disrespect has always been candid about the performance of Call of Duty: War Zone. Last month he hit his frustration setup with aim assist in the game. Previously, he had complained that he thought the game’s anti-cheat software was a “public relations game.”

In other gaming news, Sony announced a free PlayStation Plus multiplayer weekend.
