Epson adds a camera to its range of lens projectors

Epson, a projector maker, has launched the PixAlign ELPEC01 camera, adding to its line of interchangeable lens projectors, according to a company press release.

The camera helps streamline setup for advanced projection applications and attaches to the projector or short throw lens. PixAlign joins Epson’s selection of projector installation tools, such as the Epson Projector Professional Tool and built-in NFC.

Blockhouse Studios, specializing in large-scale architectural projection and original videography, uses Epson’s projection tools to create digital art experiences.

“The ability to control multiple projectors simultaneously is a key feature for us and Epson’s Pro Series projectors and setup tools were key in making setup much more efficient,” said Kevin Winkler, owner of Blockhouse Studios, in the release. “With the PixAlign cameras and EPPT software, Epson has made tiling, blending and stacking of spotlights an easier and faster process that we can rely on.”

The PixAlign ELPEC01 camera provides access to projection tools for single and multiple projector setups. The camera enables tools for screen matching and color grading, stack assist, tile assist for edge blending, and remote assist.

“Epson’s suite of setup tools for Pro Series projectors makes it easier than ever to set up advanced projection setups,” said Ramzi Shakra, product manager, large venue projectors, Epson. America, in the release. “We’re excited to see how users will use the PixAlign camera to push the boundaries of Epson projectors and bring their artistic visions to life.”
