Build A Rocket Boy, the development team founded by former Rockster North President Leslie Bensizes (one of the key staff behind GTA Online) correctly revealed their next game, Everywhere, during Opening Night Live from gamescom 2022.
It turns out that what was supposed to be a codename is the real name of the game.
The pitch for Everywhere is wild, so we’re posting it in full here:
“Everywhere seamlessly blends gameplay, adventure, creativity, and discovery in an all-new, multi-world gaming experience that redefines how players connect with each other and the digital world around them.”
Everywhere is also described as “a new multi-world gaming experience that blurs the line between reality and the digital world”.
The trailer shows off a range of worlds in stylized graphics, ranging from fantasy settings that would fit into a Greek epic, to sci-fi worlds. And there are cars.
But the final stinger shows a more realistic world, with glimpses of a science experiment forced on a person.
Maybe that’s the allusion to the multi-world thing, isn’t it?
“Our intention has always been to push the boundaries of what a video game can be while delivering an innovative player-centric experience,” said Benzies, Game Director and President of Build A Rocket Boy.
“The team we’ve built and the partners we’ve created since our founding unite around the single vision we bring to life. It’s exciting to be a part of it, and we look forward to revealing more about Everywhere in the months to come.
The teaser is short and the details are full of big ambitions that we don’t know if it will lead to a cool gaming experience, but at least now we know a little more about what the folks at Build At Rocket Boy have been working on all this. time. Although not much.
Everywhere is expected to launch in 2023.
