Farm Darlings Studio Hosts Grand Opening of New Building

Two photographers are hosting a grand opening for their new Jacksonville studio next week.

Farm Darlings Studio at 303 E. Court St. is approximately 1,200 square feet and has dedicated filming space, a back room with a cabinet, and a production area.

Nikki Evans and Cassie Bergschneider, founders of Farm Darlings, have already done a few sessions there. They said it was a big improvement over having to shoot Evans’ house. They said the new location allowed them to quickly move around backgrounds, edit photos and get to know customers.

“It’s so much more of a smoother workflow,” Evans said.

Evans and Bergschneider met in high school in 2008 and have worked together professionally since 2016. The two began focusing more on their photography careers in 2019, with the studio being acquired this year.

They have growth plans for the future, but were going to shift their focus elsewhere for now.

“We have a whole bunch of great plans in store,” Bergschneider said, “but, right now, we really want to grow with our community and reach out to everyone here.”

There will be an open house at the studio from 5-8 p.m. on May 5. Guests will be able to get discounts on photography, as well as buy apparel from Waverly-based Simply Adorable Apparel & More, and win prizes throughout the night.
