The Nevada County Camera Club’s “Gold Country on Camera – A Photo Challenge” exhibit will be featured again during the Center for the Arts Open Studios on October 9-10 and beyond. This exhibit features photographs of western Nevada County taken over a 48-hour period earlier in the fall.
“The purpose of this annual photo challenge is to encourage club members to develop their creativity in the photography, post-processing and presentation of their work,” said Rachel Rosenthal, president of the Nevada County Camera Club.
Photographs in this exhibit will be on display at Nevada City Picture Framing and Restoration, 571 Searls Ave, Nevada City from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during Open Studios’ first weekend and during store hours through December 4. .
On Saturday, October 9, the public and photo club members are invited to the exhibit’s opening celebration at 3 p.m. at Nevada City Picture Framing and Restoration. Judges’ prizes will be awarded. Masks should be worn with social distancing in the store and parking lot.
“It was a fun but challenging experience. It forces photographers to step out of their comfort zone and try new things. We are delighted with the unique photographs that are submitted. We hope the community will visit our exhibit and celebrate the emphasis on creativity, ”Rosenthal concluded.
