HAZARIBAG: Governor Ramesh Bais on Wednesday inaugurated a multi-purpose building and digital studio at Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) in Hazaribag.
The multi-purpose building will provide facilities for sports activities such as badminton and table tennis, in addition to housing a gym. The digital studio, meanwhile, will provide a state-of-the-art hybrid teaching mode at the university.
Bais said: “The two facilities were the need of the hour and will help the overall development of the academic environment in the university.”
Bais added: “The pandemic has hampered the education system, but we need to find innovative ways to bridge the gap. He urged other universities to create digital rooms as well.
Asked about his priorities, Bais, who is the chancellor of all universities in Jharkhand, said: “My priority will be to fill all vacant professorships and teaching positions at all universities and colleges in the state as soon as possible. . Since taking office as governor, I have met all VCs to find out their issues so that I can resolve them properly.
VBU VC Mukund Narayan Deo said that despite the pandemic, they managed to complete more than 200 exams. He added that they have started to build a tribal education center at the university.
