Thursday, June 30, Plum Hill Creative Studio joined Lakewood Mayor Meghan George for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the inauguration of Plum Hill Creative Studio. Plum Hill is a community-driven creative space that aims to connect creatives, entrepreneurs, and business owners who can work together and help each other grow their businesses, located at 15528 Madison Avenue.
The space offers subscriptions to content creators who need to rent a studio and/or equipment, community members who want a dedicated space to host meetings and events, and entrepreneurs who want to join a community to collaborate and grow with.
Owner Ashley Rector is a former lawyer who now owns and operates Laura Alexandria Marketing, a digital agency specializing in a variety of branding and digital marketing services.
“I wanted to create a space that would inspire others in their work, whether through meetings or creative endeavours. Growing my business, my clients’ businesses, and the small businesses around me through social media is very obvious. So much so that the need for new and engaging content has increased dramatically, which led me to open Plum Hill Creative Studio,” says Ashley.
Everything at Plum Hill was designed to be beautiful and inspiring, she says: “I mean everything from the color of the floor to the crazy wallpaper. I saw a void – I didn’t want to work in a cafe, but I didn’t need a traditional coworking studio. This is how Plum Hill was born. You can take your meetings, take pictures, create a TikTok video, whatever is on your daily agenda in something that feels modern, spacious, and in the heart of Lakewood.
