Toronto, Ont., Canada – August 24, 2022 – Zevrix Solutions today announced the release of LinkOptimizer 6.1.11, a feature update to the company’s image workflow automation tool for Adobe InDesign. link optimizer automates complex image manipulation taskswhich frees InDesign users from tedious manual processing that involves precise link replacement after editing images in Photoshop.
The new update automatically disables Camera Raw support for certain images in Photoshop before processing. This eliminates the disruption to automatic workflow, which can be caused by Photoshop opening certain JPEG and TIFF files in the Camera Raw interface. Users can now have additional peace of mind knowing they can process a large number of InDesign links of any format without interruption. LinkOptimizer will restore the original Camera Raw preferences after all tasks are complete.
“LinkOptimizer is absolutely brilliant,” says John Townsend, owner of a design studio in Kalamazoo, Michigan. “Before, I had to do all the conversions manually. This app is a dream. I converted 158 photos for a book project I’m finishing tonight – couldn’t have done it without LinkOptimizer.
LinkOptimizer automatically works with Photoshop to remove excess image data from InDesign links, perform essential image adjustments such as color conversion and sharpening, and convert image formats. For example, with the click of a button, users can:
– Change their resolution to 300 dpi
– Resize and crop images to match their dimensions in InDesign
– Resave PNG files to PSD format
– Run a Photoshop action on each image.
As a result, users can save gigabytes of disk space and countless hours of manual image optimization, speed up document production, reduce job turnover, and cut costs through faster processing.
Price and availability:
LinkOptimizer can be purchased from the Zevrix website for $259.95 (Lite version: $179.95) as well as from Adobe Exchange and authorized resellers. The trial version is also available for download. The update is free for LinkOptimizer 6.x users and $130 to upgrade from previous versions. LinkOptimizer requires macOS 10.12-12.x and Adobe InDesign / Photoshop CS6-2022.
