Maison RB 182 / Architecture and minimalist design studio
Text description provided by the architects. We constantly seek to promote an appreciation of what is truly important in life, eliminating all non-essentials from our architecture, thereby achieving states of inner peace through mindful contemplation. Good architecture pauses the mind and brings you into silence, and in that silence you might find a little glimpse of peace.
The dwelling is a satirical implication of art and technology, a marriage of distinct aesthetic attitude and building materials, assimilating the emotions and lifestyles of the inhabitants, infusing minimalist efficiencies. Gradually emerging from the greens, the hybrid structure defies the rules of gravity and hovers in the air, insinuating space beyond known dimensions with its blocks floating in space, one placed perpendicularly and the other strategically placed. parallel to the road, capturing different views of the adjacent greens.
Taking into account the owner’s desire to dwell in a truly relaxed natural setting amid pockets of green, the building’s plans effortlessly frame the natural setting, simultaneously maintaining the same character lines inside and outside the building. building, generating an obvious aesthetic and sensory consequence, but establishing a dichotomy between the butch & brutal grays of the exterior and the soft & sophisticated whites of the interiors.
The house is divided into three monolithic blocks positioned in a distinct axis connected by a fluid continuum of spaces and intimate silences filled by the voids holding time in suspension. The material expression remains consistent with the logical coherent structure, unifying Western design influences with indigenous technologies and providing Vedic principles, an alluring experience created by fusing the five elements of nature, awakening all human senses.
Solid sunlight enters the building in immaculate iterations, illuminating and shattering the darkness of shadowy spaces to perform a dramatic light show on the planes of white and gray serving as the antipode to the unfathomable facade.
