ATLANTE – A party at a northwest Atlanta recording studio turned deadly early on Halloween morning.
Atlanta Police Department officials said around 12:45 p.m. Monday that someone opened fire at the Blue Moon Studio on Bishop Street near the Atlantic train station. The studio was having a party at the time.
In video recorded near the scene of the shooting, several gunshots could be heard and revelers were seen running to safety.
A man ended up being shot. By the time an ambulance arrived, it was too late to save his life.
The victim has not been identified, but detectives do not believe he lived in the area. They say he appears to be between 21 and 25 years old.
Police block Bishop Street during murder investigation
Investigators believe the shooting started as some sort of argument that escalated. They don’t have a good description of the suspect and tell FOX 5 that finding the people at the party who fled will likely be the best way for them to identify and catch the killer.
