NBC and Studio Lambert are launching a new series of adventure competitions – “Million Dollar Island”.

The show, described as a “high-stakes social experiment,” will feature 100 contestants on an island. To stay there (which is the goal), competitors must make friends and form alliances. The contest duration is up to 50 days (for those who go that far), and those who go the distance can win a share of a million dollar prize.

Here are some more details on how the contest works, per NBC: Upon arrival, each contestant receives a wristband worth $10,000. While on the island, contestants earn and lose bracelets through various challenges, but when a player leaves the island, they must choose who will receive their share of the money.

“We are thrilled to partner with a powerful team to bring this bold new social experience to NBC,” Jenny Groom, executive vice president, Alternative Programming and Development, said in a statement. “This series is sure to entertain with ever-changing alliances, trust, deception and the ultimate will to survive.”
