Silent Hill 2 Remake Features Over-the-Shoulder Camera, Exclusive to PS5 and PC for 12 Months – Rumor

Leaks continue to grow as the long-awaited reveal of Silent Hill’s the comeback. Konami is releasing a silent Hill Transmission later today, and YouTube stream metadata has already spilled the beans on a number of projects to be revealed, one of which is a Silent Hill 2 remake. Now, a new report claims to have more details on the title.

WhatifGaming asserts in a recently published report that, according to unnamed sources, the Silent Hill 2 remake is being developed by Bloober Team, the studio behind horror titles like The way and Observerand will be exclusive to PS5 and PC for at least 12 months after launch, which has also been mentioned in previous leaks.

According to the report, the remake will feature an over-the-shoulder third-person camera perspective, à la 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake, while the game’s visuals were supposedly described as “incredible” and “truly next-gen”.

Finally, the report also states that silent Hill veterans Akira Yamaoka (composer) and Masahiro Ito (art director and creature designer) are also involved in the project. Their recent social media activity has strongly suggested as well.

Interestingly, WhatifGaming’s report was also like on Twitter by prominent insider The Snitch, perhaps lending some credence to his claims.

Of course, it won’t be long before we find out how accurate this information is, so stay tuned.
