Text description provided by the architects. Spacemen have designed Braun Buffel’s latest flagship, the first in a series of concept spaces titled “Urban Bloom”. Conceived somewhere between a gallery and a lab, the brief called for a concept with the visual impact to draw people into the store with the intention of experiencing human interest taking precedence over design intent.
Eschewing the traditional concept of luxury in favor of an approach of maximum minimalism, the centerpiece of the space is an abstract interpretation of a living tree growing from the floor to the ceiling, like an experiment developing in a science fiction laboratory. . The organic silhouette of the moss-covered installation creates a soothing contrast to the store’s open layout which aims to merge architecture with sculpture, giving the space a unique identity.
On a base of pale plaster walls that is used throughout the space, a gemstone composition with onyx walls and countertops takes center stage, drawing attention to displays and allowing products to stand out. stand out to buyers.
A pair of matching jade green marble counters with glass display cases display small leather goods in the front of the store. Its natural green grains provide a visual connection to the rest of the biophilic themed space. Further on, orange onyx display counters add punchy accents to the store.
The serene green onyx accent wall that sits at the far end of the store is accompanied by a display counter constructed entirely of clear glass. Two bespoke pieces of furniture have been designed for the customer waiting area; a long curved bench made in the same green onyx and an oak armchair. Through art and nature, the sleek, futuristic aesthetic redefines the future of the brand’s in-store retail environment into an immersive, engaging and compelling experience.
